Buyers often ask me whether or not they need an inspection done on a potential home. Almost 100% of the time I tell them that there should be a professional inspection done.
Many times, Seller’s will actually have some inspections done when listing the property. This is generally done to prevent any “surprises” after an offer is accepted. If new information about a home is discovered that would affect a buyers desire to purchase the property, it may lead to renegotiation or cancellation.
Inspections can be tricky to read and sometimes do not really give you the whole story. It takes an experienced eye when reading these reports to catch any warning signs that may require any further investigation.
