Deciding to buy a home can be an exciting, yet stressful experience for the first-time home buyer.
"How much can I afford?"
"What part of town should I live in?"
"House or condo?"
"Escrow? PMI? Disclosures? Inspections? Closing?"
"Is this house okay... or is it ready to fall down?"
These are all valid questions that you should not be afraid to ask, and that I'm always happy to assist in answering. Buying a home is the biggest purchase most people will ever make. I was a first-time home buyer here in Oakland a few years ago, I know what a good Realtor does to make the process work, and I'm ready to do that for you.
More than just being familiar with the home buying process, you should also be dealing with a Realtor that a knows about houses. I've grown up in the building trades and made my living as a plumber before real estate was ever on my radar. I remodeled my own home and have a wealthy knowledge of home repair. I can help you visualize what a home could look like and give you a idea of remodels that are feasible or not. I also may be able to point out any major problem areas before an offer is even made on a home. While there is no substitute for a thorough home inspection once an offer has been accepted, I can give us a head start.
